The sun is shining! Well, it was today at least… (sigh). We’re keeping all our fingers and toes crossed that this Summer is a lovely warm one. A glass of your favourite summer tipple always tastes that little bit better when you’re sat in your garden in the sunshine, don’t you think?!
With the appearance of the warmer spring sunshine, you may have noticed that your windows have the dreaded condensation in between the panes? Unfortunately this is an issue with many windows that have been in a while. Never fear though, we can save your windows in time for the Summer sun; so you can enjoy that tipple from inside (if it’s a bit chilly) without your view of the garden being spoiled by misted window panes.
The technical reason the panes mist up is due to failed sealed units. Condensation on the internal faces of the double glazing means that the unit is leaking air or gas and is no longer sealed correctly. The best option at this stage is to replace the sealed unit (the glass) as the visibility of the window will gradually reduce, due to increased moisture entering the sealed unit. Our team can replace these sealed units, bringing your double glazed window back to it’s former glory for a fraction of the cost of replacing the window as a whole. Once replaced, your window will be proud to stand among its fellow colleagues again.
Whether you have one lonesome pane in need of an update or a house full of misted window panes, we will be more than happy to visit your home, at a time that is convenient to you, to provide a free quotation.
